Situated in the centre of Strasbourg, close to the Petit France quarter, the Chaine D'Or restaurant is one of the oldest establishments in the city, dating back to the 16th century. A typical Alsatian brasserie, it offers various dining rooms, all decorated in an elegant and traditional style, with a classic glass centrepiece. Try traditional Alsatian cuisine with dishes such as choucroute, baeckeoffe, flambéed tart or sample more classic dishes such as fruits of the sea, salads, tartars and carpaccios, and meat and fish dishes such as duck breast with cherries or monkfish medallions with lobster sauce and for dessert a tasty caramelised apple strudel. Prices are reasonable with the 3 course foxed price menu coming in at just 15 Euros and the fruits of the sea platters priced between 15 and 40 Euros. The restaurant can accommodate up to 400 people in its various dining rooms and special group menus can be arranged upon request.
